A Romantic Café

of

Stories, Poems and Unique Gifts

Hello, I'm Pamela McMonagle. Welcome to Brinjal Murphy Cafe, please come in and join me for some stories and poetry and specially designed gift items in our café store.  The stories are of romance and friendship and life.  Of love and sorrow and joy. They are mostly romantic stories but many are simply about people living their lives.  They will make you smile and inspire you.  So, please make yourself at home because this little spot at Brinjal Murphy is a place we can share.  It’s a place that strokes the memory and invites the happenings of yesterday to mingle with those of today and just for a little pep there may be some that inspire those of tomorrow.  The story may bring out the smells and sounds and warmth of places and things we love.  We may even recognize people we know in the sometimes real but often times fictional characters but that is only because people are people and there are little subtleties that are common to all of us.

Take a spot at a table by the window where you can look out onto the ocean or lake or field or mountain whatever picture you can paint on the canvas of your mind that makes you daydream.  Snuggle into the deep sofa cushions or lean forward on your chair with your elbows on the table and your chin cupped in your hand and discover the romance of stories and poetry because there is a, poem, a yarn or two to be told.  Browse our store for E-books, a unique doorbell sign, children's story greetings cards, fridge magnets.  All designed specially for Brinjal Murphy Café.  The Please Do Not Ring Doorbell Sign is my pet project and one I have worked on for years to give parents, nurses, firefighters, police, all nighttime workers control over their daytime sleep.

Regardless of where you choose to relax at Brinjal Murphy, or how long you linger, I hope the sun shines upon you and you find tidbits that tickle your fancy and bring you back often for more as our visitors and membership steadily grows.

You're probably wondering where the words Brinjal Murphy come from.  Why was it chosen to for this café of story and poem?  It is a made up name.  It's a unique nickname given to a little girl by her big brother who called her that name to playfully tease her and it stuck.

Brinjal Murphy and Pamela McMonagle welcome you.
