You Are My Daughter

There are things in my life that I can do without

but I never, never want to be without you

You are the light of my day and joy of my night

you bring sun beams into every corner of my life

You are my daughter

Your smile, your laughter, your spirited disposition

transforms every moment, every situation

to something vibrant and quite exceptional

and your honesty and integrity is definitely admirable

You are my daughter

You can articulate and argue with passion

yet your sensitivity and thoughtfulness has no comparison

you are indeed the sweetest, prettiest girl I know

with charm and grace you exude a golden glow

You are my daughter

And not to mention your songful voice

would be a crime I would not commit by choice

for it can enthrall and thrill an amphitheatre

Yes, indeed, I am really proud you are my daughter!
